I know, there's been a looooooong silence. What if a blog fell in the forest when no one was around to hear it land? The absence of multitudes clamoring for my next post in deafening silence should tell me something...
Oh, well, imagining that there's somebody on the reading end, I will extend my apologies for not posting in a long while.
The obvious reasons:
finals
grades
students complaining about grades
summer teaching
grades
world-record turnaround on complaints about grades
Plus, yesterday, I was trying to explain to Calvin (age 3 1/2) what research is and how I plan to do it this summer. He said "Daddy, is that what deadline means?"
The better reasons:
Felix James Janzen Chappell
born 17 June 2005, 3:11 AM in Harrisonburg, VA
8 lbs. 5.9 oz. 19 1/2 inches

Hurrah! We're so thrilled. How can he look SO much like Calvin did? Amazing. Maybe you can have C explain "deadline" to me one day... : )
Well, I just found this, so I had to give it a look. And now that I know it is here, I will be reading more regularly.
Congrats for the new little one! He's adorable!
And I forgot to add, One day after my birthday. You almost can't do better than that! ;-)
