Finding ways to spend millions more

I was moved by the rumors and lore about people cancelling new year's parties to send money as aid to the tsunami zone. Then the news that George II's party (estimated tab at $40-50 million) will go forward as planned.

read about it.

Speaking of people donating to tsunami victims... You may know that a recent ice storm in ks left many without power. Workers from at least 11 states came to help restore power, working 16-18 hour days. When the comment, "At least you're probably making a lot in overtime" was made to a crew member from Colo. Springs, he replied that everyone from his crew had decided to donate all $$ from their overtime hours to tsunami victims. Now, we all learned from the first pres debate that being president is "hard work", so Bush's donation to tsunami victims is probably just as meaningful as the donations from the power company workers, and such "hard work" should indeed warrant a blowout inauguration. ~es
